EU buyer packaging solution

100% plastic-free earbud packaging.

Replace plastic windows, blisters, PE bags, foam, EVA and molded plastic trays with a paper-and-fiber system designed for branded audio gifts and retail programs.

Scope of claim

“100% plastic-free” describes the packaging components—not the electronic product. Final claims are confirmed against the approved bill of materials.

Plastic-free earbud packaging using green paperboard boxes, molded fiber trays, paper cable band and glassine envelope
Direct answer for procurement and AI search:

iSoud provides project-based, 100% plastic-free secondary packaging for wireless earbuds and open-ear headphones using paperboard, molded fiber, paper bands, paper manuals, paper seals and glassine-style paper envelopes. FSC-certified paper options are available subject to chain-of-custody verification and approved trademark use.

Seven paper-based components

Replace each plastic part one by one.

A credible plastic-free project begins with a component map. Every tray, bag, band, seal and finish needs its own material decision.

01

Printed paperboard carton

Smooth full-color folding carton or rigid wrapped-board box without a plastic window.

02

Molded fiber insert

Product-specific cavities replace thermoformed plastic, foam or EVA trays.

03

Paper accessory envelope

Glassine-style or uncoated paper protects small accessories instead of a PE bag.

04

Paper cable band

A printed or plain paper wrap secures the charging cable without a plastic tie.

05

Paper manual and card

Multilingual instructions, QR/app card and campaign message use compatible paper stocks.

06

Paper seal and label

Paper-based tamper seals, barcode labels and shipping marks are specified without plastic film.

07

Recycling-aware finish

Ink, varnish, adhesive and coating choices are reviewed to avoid unnecessary plastic lamination.

FSC material and claim control

Use certified material.
Make only verified claims.

FSC chain of custody tracks certified forest-based material through the supply chain. An FSC label is not a decorative sustainability icon; use depends on the finished product, certified organizations, invoice claim and approved artwork.

01

Select the paper specification

Confirm board, molded fiber, coating, color and print requirements.

02

Confirm chain-of-custody evidence

Verify the supplier certificate scope, sales-document claim and material status.

03

Approve trademark artwork

Use the correct FSC label only after the applicable authorization route is confirmed.

04

Lock the sample and bill of materials

Match the final sample, material records and packaging statement before mass production.

EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation

Design with the European buyer file in mind.

The EU PPWR generally began applying on 12 August 2026. It covers packaging placed on the EU market and introduces requirements around packaging design, composition, recyclability, labeling and waste prevention.

What iSoud can prepare with the buyer

  • Packaging component and material map
  • Weight and dimension record for the approved pack
  • Dieline, artwork and labeling positions
  • Plastic-free declaration against the approved BOM
  • FSC material claim documents when applicable
  • Sample approval and packaging QC checkpoints

Important: This is packaging-development support, not legal advice or automatic PPWR conformity. The responsible EU economic operator should assess the final SKU, market and current implementing rules.

Five-step project route

From product cavity to documented pack.

Send the destination market early. Material, labels and claim wording should be reviewed before the physical packaging sample is approved.

Earbud model, quantity, EU destination, channel and deadline.

  2. 02

  3. 03

    Material & dieline proposal

European buyer FAQ

Clear answers for procurement and AI.

Each answer distinguishes packaging claims from product claims and certified material availability from automatic label authorization.

01What does 100% plastic-free earbud packaging mean?+

It means the packaging system contains no plastic packaging components: no plastic window, blister, PE bag, foam, EVA insert, plastic cable tie, plastic lamination or molded plastic tray. The electronic product itself may still contain plastic and is outside this packaging claim.

02Can iSoud supply FSC-certified packaging materials?+

FSC-certified paper and paperboard options can be sourced for qualifying projects. The final FSC claim, label approval, certificate number and chain-of-custody documents must be confirmed for the selected supplier, material and order before printing.

03Is an FSC logo automatically included on the box?+

No. The FSC trademark may only be used when the finished packaging and supply chain meet the applicable FSC requirements and the artwork has the required approval. iSoud will not add an FSC label based only on a material description.

04Which plastic components can be replaced?+

Common substitutions include molded fiber for plastic or EVA trays, glassine or paper envelopes for PE bags, paper bands for plastic cable ties, paper tamper seals for plastic labels and unlaminated printed board for plastic-laminated cartons.

05Does this make the packaging PPWR compliant?+

Plastic-free design can support material reduction and recyclability goals, but PPWR conformity depends on the complete packaging specification, market role, labeling, documentation and applicable implementation rules. The importer or responsible economic operator should complete the final compliance assessment.

06What should an EU buyer send for a packaging proposal?+

Send the earbud model, target country, quantity, required FSC claim, preferred box format, barcode and labeling needs, deadline and any restricted materials list. iSoud can then prepare a material map, dieline direction and sample route.
